Abstract

This study seeks to find out the concept of the linguistic school. What is distinguished by each one from the other, differentiated by this between the curriculum and between it, and then elected a number of schools that were historical at its beginning due to its longevity and impact on the schools that came after it, as well as this study dealt with the structural school as The basic nucleus of the modern linguistic lesson, it also dealt with the transformational generative school for what it added of new knowledge to the general language. It dealt with the functional school for its focus on grammatical relations in the sentence. This study showed the essential principles and foundations that this school enjoyed with a historical pause for the age of each school.
