Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyse adaptation of social change on the life sustainability among urban poverty. The main objective is to propose a model that examine the relationship among dimension of social change and life sustainability. Structural equation modelling will be used to validate the model. This research is intended to be a quantitative study using a survey method involving 200 respondent urban poor in Kelang Valley. Data were analyse using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS) software. The participants was randomly chosen using simple random sampling. This study results showed significant correlation between social change and sustainability of life. The verdict indicates that human capital has influence on the life sustainability. In influencing sustainable livelihood, social change plays an important role. This finding contribute to the policymaker planning for urban poor's sustainable development in the future.
