Abstract

The article deals with theoretical and practical issues of creating a Kazakh keyboard based on Latin graphics. The authors analyzed the frequency of Kazakh language letters and letter combinations, obtained from the base of the general educational frequency dictionary based on the texts of the National Corpus of the Kazakh language ("Zhalpy bilim berudegi zhiilik sozdik"), consisting of 7-million-word usage. Recommendations on the Kazakh (in Latin script) letters arrangement on the keyboard are offered.
