Abstract

Scientometric dimensions of author metrics for the selected NIRF ranked technical education institutions research productivity is explored in this study, though there is an emergence of concentrating more on authors quality scientific publication insisted by various accreditation and ranking bodies. This study has been carried out by extracting the research publications from Scopus database for the period of 2000-2019 for the selected institutions. This study resulted that Ramasmy P, SSN College of Engineering is the most prolific author with 409 documents. Murugan, N, Coimbatore Institute of Technology is the most prolific authors based on total citation count (4493). Joint authored papers were maximum (5543). There were 525 Single authored papers. Overall degree of collaboration was 0.93 and the overall rate of single authorship is 0.03. Rajasekaran S, PSG college of Technology and Sumathi S, SSN College of Engineering are the authors with the highest Dominance Factor. The collaborative coefficient was 0.617 and modified collaborative coefficient was 1.619.
