Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of learning methods and motor educability on basic soccer game skills. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Kabawo from October to December 2020, and used a quasi[1]experimental method with a 2 x 2 level treatment design. The sample of this study consisted of 24 students who were obtained randomly through purposive sampling technique. The data were analysis technique used analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a significance of a = 0,05. The results showed that: 1) the drill learning method and the recitation learning method had a significantly different effect on basic skills in soccer games, 2) there was an interaction effect bbetween learning method and motor educability on basic skills in soccer games, 3) the basic skills of the soccer game between students who were taught by the drill learning method was higher than students who were taught with the recitation learning method in a group of students with higher motor educability, 4) the skills of soccer games between students who were taught using the drill learning method had no difference with students who were taught using the recitation learning method in group of students with low motor educability.
