Thai's Herbs Local wisdoms Within Epilepsy Treatment: Incasing Khok Klang village, Thailand

Abstract

Thai society has the wisdom of medicinal herbs. Specific purpose this study to Thai's herbs local wisdoms within epilepsy treatment into the knowledge and guidelines of a Inheriting the wisdom of herbal healers as epilepsy treatment in Khok Klang village, Thailand. A qualitative research into the collections came from documentary study, interviews, observations, and group discussions with wisdoms doctoral, local philosophers community elders to data analysis was analyzed by content analysis. The study revealed that Thai's herbs local wisdoms within epilepsy treatment there are 14th an important drugs such as; 1) oxyceros horridus lour, 2) kham rok, 3) hang nao, 4) krachao, 5) monkey's ears, 6) figs, 7) kai's eyes, 8) black sugar cane, 9) hua wai pork, 10) Northern rice, 11) noona parasitic, 12) mulberry parasitic, 13) jackfruit leaves, and 14) sticky rice. This wisdom, is a process that is passed down in the community and family from learning and practice that is related to the history of the community and health management to the realization of the value, the treatment that is applied in combination with modern medicine
