E-English Learning after the Covid-19 Pandemic: Problems and Challenges

Abstract

Learning a second or a foreign language requires looking for new trends and methods to acquire it properly. E- learning has been popular and broadly used when learning and teaching English Language. What is new in this research is that it compares between dealing with online learning as a compulsory way of learning and teaching and dealing with it as a selective way in learning and teaching. This paper is a qualitative paper that investigates the rate of the effectiveness of E- English learning when it is compulsory and selective. Therefore, this study seeks to investigate the problems and challenges of adopting online learning during the global Covid-19 pandemic compared to the challenges and problems before the pandemic. The data obtained exist literature about the topic. The findings reveal: (1) overall, students, parents, teachers still need more solutions to deal with issue raised after the implementation of online learning. (2) the students may expose negative attitudes to e-English learning; (3) problems related to some technical issues may raise. (4) problems related to financial issue are clearly affecting.
