Abstract

E-Learning has become an essential educational approach for students everywhere. No one can deny the importance of this approach in the digital world, where the traditional way of teaching can be stopped in certain circumstances. This qualitative paper examines the impact of e-learning on students from the perspective of parents. The study sample includes 12 parents who were interviewed individually on the Zoom platform due to the quarantine and curfew as a result of Coronavirus. Semi-structured interviews are used to collect data. The framework of the study is guided by Bronfenbrenner (1994). Braun and Clarke (2006) is used as a tool to analyze the data. The study finds that (i) parents, peers and schools have a direct impact on the interaction between the child and e-learning system, (ii) some parents encounters several difficulties in dealing with e-learning, (iii) the relation between parents and school has a positive impact of English learning during e-learning, (iv) during e-learning, the roles of some schools are limited and inactive and (i) the impact of parents' works on their children during e-learning is complex and has a negative result.
