Abstract

This research aims to conduct an inductive traceability to reveal a series of influences in the course of the Arab short story, as this research paper tries to summon the works of Chekhov, as a starting point, and an indication for a diverse standardization of the short story topics and their implications for describing the reality in Arab countries, and the environment in which they arose from several aspects, including: social, economic and political, as well as psychological factors affecting the understanding of reality. It concerned with monitoring short story processors under the light of their ideas and foundations for their validity in dealing with problems in a society, moreover the artistic influence, which focuses most of its aspects on simulating other literature by employing symbols, styles, language, etc.
