Abstract

In this study, we try to trace symbolism since its early beginnings in France, to know the circumstances surrounding its establishment, development, and stages, to search for its figures and pioneers, to identify its philosophical and theoretical adoptions, and the new concepts of symbolism that it presented, such as revelation and ambiguity, through the techniques and forms that the artist employed in his artworks. The Russian painter's use of shorthand symbols in the artwork helped him express his sentimental feelings and emotions, and this was clearly reflected in the Russian symbolic school, and hence the importance of the research, which is represented in the manifestation of the manifestations of Russian symbolism and its concepts.
