Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership and organizational climate on the performance of the Youth and Sports Office of Southeast Sulawesi Province. This research was carried out at the Office of Youth and Sports of Southeast Sulawesi Province from June to August 2020 and used a survey method. The sample of this study amounted to 117 employees through the total sampling technique. The data in this study were obtained through the instrument using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used path analysis with a significance of = 0.05. The results showed that: 1) leadership has a direct and significant effect on employee performance in the work unit of the Youth and Sports Office of Southeast Sulawesi Province, 2) Organizational climate has a direct and significant effect on employee performance in the work unit of the Youth and Sports Office of Southeast Sulawesi Province, 3) leadership has a direct and significant effect on organizational climate in the work unit of the Youth and Sports Office of Southeast Sulawesi Province, and 4) leadership and organizational climate have a direct and simultaneous effect on employee performance in the work unit of the Youth and Sports Office of Southeast Sulawesi Province.
