Abstract

This study aims to look at the components of the teaching component that influence the implementation of Teaching and Learning (T&L) integrating HOTS through Islamic education subjects in primary schools. The findings of this study are based on the findings of other studies showing the implementation of teaching among Islamic Education Teacher (IET) is traditional and non-oriented based on HOTS. Six other factors, namely the objective setting, the implementation of questioning methods, the use of educational resources, the objective reflection, the formulation of teaching content and assess the understanding of the students are not included in the findings of elements that contribute to the implementation of HOTS in the classroom. Thus, these six components affect the teaching has been integrated HOTS. In conclusion, this study shows that there is a flow of influence from the teaching component with the implementation of HOTS in Islamic education in schools with insights that show 48.2% in variance change.
