Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of contract learning strategy on achievement in the subject of foundations of education for first-year students of the College of Basic Education. The researcher used the experimental design with partial control and post-test. The researcher chose Division (A) to represent the experimental group that is taught according to the contract learning strategy, and Division (C) represented the control group that is taught in the traditional way. The number of students reached (54) equally divided into (27) male and female for each group. The students of the two groups were statistically tested according to the two variables: age and intelligence. The researcher prepared her research tool: the achievement test, and the validity and reliability of the tool were verified. A t-test was used to process the data. Results showed that there was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group that studied according to the contract learning strategy in the subject of the foundations of education and the control group that studied the same subject.
