The Role of Communication Activities in Women's Organizations in Awareness of Women's Rights Issues.

Abstract

Awareness of women's rights issues is the basic building block for modern civilized societies and communication activities in women's organizations played the most important role in spreading awareness in this field. The objectives of the research is to identify the communicative activities of public relations in the Iraqi women's organizations and to identify the contents of these activities and revealing the extents of building Awareness of women's rights among women. The researcher chose the scale tool to measure awareness achieved among women after their exposure to communicative activities in women's organizations. To extract the results, which showed that there is a relationship between awareness and communication activities in women's organizations, the researcher also concluded that the general awareness achieved among women was related to the extent of their follow-up activities, also this awareness was not related to the age or the level of educational attainment of the sample but the impact of this awareness was significant and clear in the items related to the means of communication therefore it can be said that this achieved awareness came as a result of the exposure of women. The study sample to communication activities in women's organizations which interested in women's rights issues.
