This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of virtual trips strategy based on guided imagination in developing analytical thinking skills for sixth[1]grade students. The study employed the experimental approach by means of a quasi-experimental design. The sample of the study consisted of 66 female sixthgrade students, who were randomly selected and equally distributed into an experimental group, and a control group. The study was conducted during the academic year 1440-1441AH at first semester in Hafar Al-Batin Governorate. Therefore, to achieve its aim, the researcher was prepared the instruments of the study, the intervention materials included a teacher guide presenting the steps of applying the virtual trips strategy based on guided imagination, an analytical thinking skills test. For that, the results showed the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a=0.05) at the level of the experimental grades and the grades of the control group students and in favor of the experimental group in developing analytical thinking skills in science. Consequently, the research recommends to use this strategy in science education, and holding workshops to train teachers' science on how to employ the virtual trips strategy based on guided imagination, and including it in teacher preparation programs before service.
