Development of Authentic Literature Assessment Model in Language Learning

The practice of children's drawing is a natural activity that is always found and, in all places, and is also a common exercise in Art Education classes that is assessed and graded. But when children make their drawing work in primary school, in many cases neither the children or their families are aware of the assessment criteria used by the teachers to evaluate and grade them. This is negative both for the pupils and for the subject area of Art Education as well. In this article, we reviewed the concept of assessment, its types, and characteristics, allowing us to gain a better understanding of its purpose. A questionnaire was carried out with half a thousand primary school pupils in which they were asked about the criteria for assessing their drawings. The results obtained showed a lack of knowledge of the criteria and the assessment of cleanliness above all other aspects. In conclusion, it is considered that teachers should create their own scales for assessing children's graphic expressions and communicate this to them to make them better understand the content and interest of these tasks in the subject of Art Education in Primary Education.
