Since its first inception, theater has dealt with women’s problems, but within the circle of conflict because it considered them to be part of other parts of which theatrical texts are formed .However, the feminist theatre began to spread to become a specificity that precisely addresses the problems of women in their societies, and the multiplicity of hypothetical topics raised at the theatrical level gives them privacy and that privacy is linked to the social environment of women and their cultural references, whether on the global, Arab or local levels. Each society has its own problems, and there are also shared principles that exist in all societies, including the women's rights and the defense against their exploitation as a form of slavery or the use of violence against them .There is also a set of taboos that were appeared with the birth of those societies and grew up and developed into a red lines that cannot be crossed, thus some of the feminist theatrical texts addressed these problems resulting from political, religious and social domination, and these feminist texts relied on the references of the taboo to dismantle its implied contents and stand on its adaptations, as these texts have a structure in their feminist theatrical discourse, which enables the researcher to raise a set of questions in search of answers to them, including what are the references to which the group of taboos are subject in the format of the feminist theatre discourse, hence the researcher decided that the title of her research should be (Taboos and their references in the format of Feminist theatre discourse).
