A study on conditions, problems, and needs of Young People who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs)

Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate the conditions, problems, and needs of Young People who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs). The samples used in the research were 350 young people who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) who are from volunteer sampling. The research instruments were questionnaires and focus group discussion forms. To analyze the data, the researcher conducted the statistics consisting of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the content analysis for the qualitative study. The results of the research revealed that condition of Young People who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) found that employment that will important role for in progress and stability in life at the highest level and Young People who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) have motivation to returning to study or work because they want to have a stable future and a better chance of getting a job at the highest level 2) significant problems of Young People who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) is academic knowledge and anxiety to the world of work 3) Needs of Young People who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs) to promote learning in accordance with the context of their life at the highest level.
