Abstract

The research establishes the concept of quotation and inclusion in the Maqamat of ibn Mary, as it is one of the prominent phenomena to attract the attention of the recipient, Ibn Mary, one of the men of the sixth century AH (Yahya bin Said bin Mary Abu Al-Abbas the Christian doctor (d. 589 AH). These two concepts are proven, especially the quotation in the paradoxical events of his being a Christian man and his place to employ texts from the Bible, but he fascinates us with his high culture by employing Islamic texts - from the Holy Qur'an and the Prophetic hadiths and sayings of the Companions - this indicates his interest in the language of the Qur'an on the one hand and his extensive knowledge on the other hand, as well as an abundance Proverbs that give the text of semantic dimensions and plentiful meanings
