THE ROLE OF PRAYER TOWARDS DEVELOPING ENGINEERING STUDENTS PERSONALITY

Abstract

Religion plays an important role to develop the students's personality. Teaching and learning at university is an important process to produce excellent human capital in physical, spiritual, intelectual and personality. Thus, this article aims to explain the importance of prayer to build students's personality and the effect of prayer towards the achievement of students. This study is a quantitative study which involved a case study among Engineering students at University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. Data collection via a questionaire was used to identify the level of prayer practice among UTHM students and the effect of prayer towards the achievement of student. The study is beneficial to improve the level of religious practice among students that can effect their human capital in physical, spiritual, intelectual and personality domains.
