Abstract

This study investigated Muslim converts' perception towards mobile phone technology usage as one of medium in their learning about Islam. The survey was constructed using a questionnaire consisting statements regarding respondents' demographics and perceptions on using mobile learning. The questionnaire was administered to 59 Muslim-converted students from Islamic Guidance Centre in Kedah, Malaysia (PUSBA). Data measured through five-point Likert scale were analyzed by using statistical software, SPSS. Results indicated that the perceptions of Muslim converts were quite positive. Furthermore, they also supported the use of mobile learning as a tool in their learning and teaching process. As implication, future studies may look into details on how mobile phone can serve as an effective teaching and learning medium for Muslim converts.
