Abstract

This article studies the concept of error seen both from the perspective of the Contrast Analysis as from the perspective of Error Analysis; in addition, a tour of the evolution that this key concept has undergone within the framework of the studies of Applied Linguistics to teaching second language learning until reaching its current inter linguistic version For On the other hand, the distinction between error, fault and lapse is emphasized.
