Women's Rights in Andalusia during Almoravid Era

    Abstract

    The Arab Islamic state in Andalusia recognized woman ‘s rights. Women enjoyed freedom to obtain their rights in working in various professions. They worked in medicine and cupping. They also worked as teachers and singers. Moreover, they worked in spinning and weaving. They practiced their rights in education and many women became famous in literature, poetry, culture, and knowledge. Women had a role in political life in Isolating and installing governors. Thus, the role of women in social, political, and cultural life emerged.
