    Abstract

    Waiting for merchant ships inside the port is a problem that leads to material losses for merchants and maritime companies alike. Therefore, merchants and marine companies, It always seems to favor the ports where the commercial movement witnesses a great speed in the realization of handling for loading and unloading. This theory aims to clarify the time that commercial ships give in Jordan's commercial ports, seeking to reduce that time, whether during loading, unloading or waiting operations. This study aims to learn about Queues Theory (Super Frames) and Their Applications on Jordanian port of Aqaba, the results are shown: The times spent by commercial ports in loading and unloading or waiting for ships is a long time that is not commensurate with the economic situation in the country, as these times are relatively long if compared to the commercial ports of neighboring countries to Jordan, and this means that there is a slow pace in the work of the Jordanian port of Aqaba. Some commercial ports recorded less time, whether in loading, unloading, or waiting. This does not mean that they are good or fast ports in completing the work. Rather, this was due to the small number of commercial vessels that frequented them or the lack of loaded or unloaded cargo. Waiting times were also recorded for unloading operations higher than their rates for shipping due to the lagging of discharging operations in the region of the Central Commercial Port, caused by several reasons, including the malfunction of the cranes and the lack of their number and others.
