This study was a descriptive research to understand the factors that impact the nursing students' care efficacy. The data was collected from 181 nursing college students in J city from October 1st to October 21st. 2020. The instrument consisted of 103 items, measuring general characteristics, self-determination, major suitability, peer support, major satisfaction, and caring efficacy. The data collected were analyzed using frequency, percentage, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficient with IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. Factors affecting the subject's caring efficacy are self-determination (β=.309, p<.001), peer support (β=.254, p<.001), ‘leave of absence' (β=.212, p<.001), introvert (β=-.137, p=.013), and ‘under 20' (β=.111, p=.046). The explanatory power of the model was 50.0%. It is believed that an educational program using self-determination and peer support groups will be helpful to improve major satisfaction and caring efficacy, and it is necessary to provide customized programs according to the degree of major suitability. The results of this study can be used as basic data in developing educational programs that help nursing students improve their caring efficacy at school or work. In addition, in order to generalize the research, it is suggested that various research be conducted by adding a wide range of subjects and variables in the future by supplementing the limitations of this research.
