The objective of the current study is to examine the role of training and knowledge management in public
taxi cooperative performance. To examine the role of knowledge management, knowledge of driving
rules and knowledge of city places was examined in relation to the public taxi cooperative performance.
Furthermore, the mediation effect of effective driving was also examined. Therefore, the relationship
between knowledge of driving rules, knowledge of city places, training, effective driving and public taxi
cooperative performance was examined. Furthermore, this study used quantitative research approach
to achieve the objective. Questionnaire was used for data collection from the taxi cooperative
employees from Bangkok, Thailand. It is found that the effect of knowledge of driving rules has positive
effect on effective driving, however, it has no effect on public taxi cooperative performance. Knowledge
city places has no effect on effective driving and public taxi cooperative performance. The effect of
training is positive on effective driving and public taxi cooperative performance. Finally, the direct effect
of effective driving was examined on and public taxi cooperative performance which is also positive.
