About the journal

Review of International Geographical Education ISSN: 2146-0353is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access, research journal.) Is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal aimed at publishing scientific papers based on rigorous methodologies directed to contribute to the development of the field of geography education and social studies education.

RIGEO publishes original research articles either using quantitative or qualitative methodologies which represent a significant contribution to the current knowledge. This includes a vast range of empirical studies including the validation and/or adaptation of measurement instruments.

RIGEO also publishes theoretical papers, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses as well as book reviews relevant to the field. The journal is focused on geography education and social studies education but multidisciplinary approaches from allied disciplines are particularly welcome. In the case of systematic reviews and meta-analysis, it is strongly recommended authors follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA; http://www.prisma-statement.org)

RIGEO embraces transparency and open science policy. Therefore, the journal promotes reproducibility of studies and encourages authors to carefully disclose the types of research designs and analytic methods used. In the same vein, the journal promotes the sharing of data, methods, and materials to the availability of other researches. RIGE also recognizes the value of replication for independent verification of research and it is open to publishing such studies.

RIGEO is a non-profit-making journal. The publication fee is to cover the expenses of managing and editing the articles. In addition, the English proofreading from the native speakers is also covered in the APC
